The event exceeded expectations as in the number of couples that registered and even the famous number 1, Carolina Navarro, attended, and on center court the best couple in the world, Juan Martín Díaz and Fernando Belasteguin had an exhibition match against the international ranking couple No. 3, Miguel Lamperti and Matthew Diaz.

Over 500 people came to the Club Deportivo Consul to witness the finals of this 1st international tournament whith amateurs and top professionals participating in four categories for male, female and mixed.

In the main category, where 3.000 € in price money was on offer, four of the international couples of the circuit arrived to participate.  Gerardo Millán and Pérez Cutu Derito became champions after winning the final against Godo Díaz y Jordi Muñoz  6 / 3 and 6 / 4. The champions had beaten in the semifinals Calneggia Toto and David Gutierrez (7 / 6, 2 / 6 and 6 / 4) whilst Godo and Jordi had beaten 6 / 2 and 6/ 2  William Demjanjuk and Roberto Saba.
